From Gibraltar to Athens
After the Greeks, Romans, Phoenicians and Vikings, Ian, Robert and Luuk, led by captain Peter Arensman, are now going to battle the Mediterranean waves. A legendary 3,000 km journey. The goal: to raise the first €150,000 for the Dutch Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds and research into HMSN.

HMSN is a muscle disease that cannot be treated with medication and of which the cause is unknown. Over the next four years, we will be using our muscles to raise money to support research into HMSN with our Muscles for Research initiative.

About us
Muscles for Research was born out of a passion for adventure and the need for research.
Over the next four years, Muscles for Research will organise various challenges to raise money for research into the muscle disease HMSN. The son of initiator Peter Arensman, also owner of outdoor sports store Carl Denig, got diagnosed with this hereditary disease earlier this year.
